Here at Cathy Newell Price Jewellery we are committed to protecting your privacy.  Here are details of how we use information we collect from you:

 

Types of Data we collect and why and how we collect it

In order to fulfil an order or to answer an enquiry via this website, over the phone or in person at a show or in the studio we may collect your name, telephone number and/or email address.

If you make a purchase then your postal address will also be collected in order to deliver your order.

In addition to this website we also sell through notonthehighstreet.com, madebyhandonline.com and etsy.com.  Please refer to their individual privacy policies.  When using these sites your data is collected and any information that is needed to fulfil an order is passed onto us. 

If you purchase over the telephone your card details are only taken to process the order.

 

How your information is stored

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is stored safely locked away. All electronic devices are password protected.

Card processing receipts are stored in a locked box for a maximum of 6 months before they are shredded.

Hard copies of orders are shredded once the order has been fulfilled.

Once the order has been fulfilled from a third party site the data we hold is deleted.

 

Length of time that your information is stored

All receipts printed by the card machine during face to face or telephone purchases are kept for a maximum of 6 months and then they are shredded.

We maintain your personal information for as long as it is necessary to provide you with our services.   It may be kept for seven years following a purchase comply with any legal or tax requirements.

 

Mailing lists

We add subscribers to our email marketing newsletters if they have asked to be added to this list.  This may have been at a show, at the studio or you may have asked to be added to the list following a purchase.   We use Mailchimp as our email provider, for more information about see their own privacy policy.  You have the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time should you wish at the click of a button at the bottom of the email.  We never add you to our mailing list if you have purchased something through this site unless you have asked us to do so.  We never share your email address with anyone else.

If you are not on our list you may contact us and ask to be added or complete the email sign up that will be added to this site.

 

Third party processors

Payments on this website are processed by PayPal and your card details are protected by their systems.

Payments taken face to face at a show or in the studio are processed by Worldpay or Sumup. 

If you purchase over the telephone your card details are only taken to process the order. 

Cathy Newell Price jewellery uses other cloud based  software in order to run the business.  Please get in touch if you wood like further information.

When you purchase from this site orders are sent through Royal Mail and your address is shared with them in order for them to deliver your jewellery.

Our Email newsletter provider is Mailchimp.

This website has full SSL (Secure sockets layer encryption) - you will see that the address starts https (not just http) in the address and there is a green padlock.  This means that you can be sure that your payments and details are secure when using this website.

Finding out what data we hold on you

If you are a resident of Europe you can find out what data we hold on you by contacting us via this website by making a subject access request.  Following an identinty check we aim to provide you with a reply within 30days.  You can ask for you information to be corrected, updated or deleted.
