Friday 5th May 2017 - An introduction to making jewellery in silver
one day small group workshop
One day introductory course in making silver jewellery. This day is designed for people with little or no experience of silver jewellery making. Learn about basic tools, workshop practice and traditional jewellery techniques for working in silver.
You can expect to make and finish a simple band ring in the morning and then move on to learning to texture metals and cut out sheet silver to make a pendant or a pair of earrings in the afternoon.
The workshops are held at my studio in Shinfield, near Reading in Berkshire.
The maximum number of participants is 3, so you will have plenty of individual attention.
The time is 10am - 4.00pm (with a half hour break for lunch)
All tools are provided and the fee covers the cost of all materials.
Following booking you will be sent an email with directions and details of what to bring. You will also be provided with teas, coffees and snacks. Bring your own packed lunch.
